Special Architecture for Universal Comment Extensions Plus Acronymical Names

SAUCEPAN is a SAUCE Comment to FILE_ID.DIZ convertor made for Oblivion/2
sysops but is able to work with any software. SAUCEPAN features generation
by template as to make it a utility that should never need updating, but be
warned, it will find a way to get it anyhow. The format for SAUCEPAN is as
follows:
  SAUCEPAN <filename> <template name> <output DIZ name>

<filename> is the filename which will have the SAUCE info extracted
<template name> is the name of the template for the DIZ, see below
<output DIZ name> is the name of the output file that will be generated
from the information in the other two files

With the other two fields pretty self-explanatory, I will explain the template
name and template structure. The template name can have a ? mark in it, if
SAUCEPAN finds a ? in the filename, it will replace it with the data type
for the input file, the correspondence being:
  Unknown Data Type - 0
Character Type (ANSI, RIP, etc) - 1
  Graphics Type - 2
  Vector Type - 3
  Sound Type - 4

So TEMP?.ANS would be TEMP0.ANS for unknown types, TEMP1.ANS for character
types, etc.

The template file is a line by line listing of what will appear in the DIZ,
  the following codes are supported:
    |TI - Title
    |AU - Author
    |GR - Group
    |DT - Data Type
    |FT - File Type
            For Character Types -
ASCII, ANSI, Ansimation, RIP, PCBoard, Avatar
            For Graphics Types -
GIF, PCX, LBM/IFF, TGA, FLI, FLC, BMP, GL, DL, WPG,
            For Vector Types -
              DXF, DWG, WPG
            For Sound Types -
MOD, 669, STM, S3M, MTM, FAR, ULT, AMF, DMF, OKT, ROL, CMF,
              MIDI, SADT, VOC, WAV, SMP8, SMP8S, SMP16, SMP16S
    |AI - Addition Information
Dimensions for character and graphics types
    |FS - File Size
    |AD - Date in American Format
    |ED - Date in European Format
    |CM - Comments
Will repeat line for as many lines of comments there are,
replacing CM with current comment line

Example:
  Template File:

    |TI
      by |AU
        |GR
    |AI
    |AD
    ³|CM

  Output File:
    Paradise Lost Ansi
      by Some Artist
        Some Art Group
    80x25
    05/30/94
³Okay, I finished the ansi, would you stop
³buggin' me and wash off your lips?

That shold make the template format and my opinions clear. Any comments and
bug reports can be delivered to me on the Fringes or on ImpactNet. Information
on adding using SAUCEPAN with Oblivion/2 is in HISTORY.DOC.

Greets: <why not>
Beastie - Thanks for the ansi.
Yakko, Wakko, and Dot - Faboom!
