³   hard wired to the modem. WallyWorld runs full time on the Tandy 4Ksx.    ³
³   When you request HCL, the BBS software accesses the Northstar, which is  ³
³   a multi-tasking machine running under unix to serve the LAN. The request ³
³   to the lan invokes a DOS shell under UNIX (the operating system of the   ³
³   server) and HCL's BBS software is loaded into that shell. The Tandy 4Ksx ³
³   then acts as a terminal server between HCL and the modem. This system was³
³   devised to increase the speed of both WallyWorld and HCL. You may have   ³
³   noticed a vast improvement in performance since early October.³
